Club Information
Neshkoro Lioness Club was chartered in 1984. Membership meetings are held on the first Monday of each month beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Clearwater Lodge in Neshkoro. Board meetings are held on the third Monday of each month beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Neshkoro Public Library.
The Lioness Club was founded in 1984 by 16 women of whom 5 are still active. The Neshkoro Lioness, together with the Neshkoro Lions, have funded over $270,000 in community programs and improvements since we began. We support Lions Camp at Rosholt and Lions International Foundation which does worldwide help for those in need.
The Neshkoro Lioness generate funds through a Spring and Fall Pizza Sale and annual Geranium Sale. Every year they participate in the Mission to Mexico, the Relay for Life, and in December, they have a Christmas Fair for the school children where they can shop for presents for their families. The profit is donated to the school.
Each year, the second Monday in September, the Lioness and Lions give the Senior Citizens of Neshkoro a Free Dinner. 200+ people were served this year.
Both the Lioness and Lions helped organize a LEO Club aimed at bringing younger members into the organization and helping steer young people in a responsible direction.
Our people are our most important resource and helps explain why a town of 360 citizens has a Lioness and Lion membership that exceeds 25% of the population.
